It’s been another strong year for UK law firm mergers despite a slowdown, according to new research from accountancy firm Hazlewoods. The past year saw 121 mergers take place, reflecting a strong recovery from the 10-year low point in 2021. This follows 122 merges in 2022, which marked a 23% increase from the 99 mergers recorded in 2021.

The one-day careers conferences are for talented students (law and non-law) who want to learn more about how to build a fulfilling career as a solicitor. City law firm Addleshaw Goddard has announced that its salaries for newly qualified (NQ) lawyers will remain at £100,000, as it opts to allocate an extra £1 million to bonuses at the company instead. The firm’s bonus pot is now worth a total of £19 million.
