LawCareers.Net is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2026 Student Law Society Awards, sponsored by BARBRI

The awards celebrate the hard work of student-led societies across the country who support their members through various activities, including:

  • careers and social events;
  • pro bono and mooting activities;
  • initiatives for aspiring barristers, first-year, international and non-law students;
  • efforts to improve diversity within the legal profession; and
  • commercial awareness opportunities.

The Student Law Society Awards are based on submissions from each student law society and the results of a survey of their members. The LawCareers.Net team will judge the submissions and nominees will be announced in February 2026.

There are 14 awards up for grabs, including one new award, with winners to be announced at a ceremony in March 2026. The awards categories are as follows:

BARBRI is the overall sponsor of the Student Law Society Awards 2026.

Make sure you vote for your society by completing the online survey and telling us how your society supports you in the above areas.

Society presidents and committees aiming for these prestigious awards should submit detailed accounts of their events and activities. We want to understand what your society does and for you to highlight some of your proudest achievements as a group.

The deadline for submissions of both surveys is Friday 16 January 2026. For more information, visit the Student Law Society Awards microsite which features last year’s winning societies.

If you have any questions about submitting, please email Dimitar Dimitrov at [email protected].

Good luck to all the societies involved!
