London 'open access' law fair date announced

updated on 17 May 2013

A consortium of London law schools have announced a one-day ‘open access’ law fair, designed to bring together law students and graduates from all backgrounds with employers.

The fair will be held on Wednesday 27 November 2013, between 12:00pm and 4:00pm, at the Business Design Centre in Islington. The consortium is made up of the following education providers: CILEx, CILEx Law School, the University of East London, London South Bank University, Kingston University and London Metropolitan University. LawCareers.Net and Lawyer2B are sponsoring the event, which will include workshops, speakers and other activities.

Jackie Trench, graduate recruitment specialist at Clifford Chance LLP, said: "At Clifford Chance we are looking to recruit the most talented graduates from the most diverse backgrounds. Our future trainees will come from an incredibly wide variety of degree disciplines and academic institutions. Having a law fair which is open to all allows us to engage with students that are keen to find out more about Clifford Chance and the opportunities available to them. The fact that these students would have travelled away from their universities to do just that shows that they are committed to a career in law and these are individuals that we want to talk to."
