Graduate Diploma in Law/CPE (full and part time)

London Met's GDL/CPE is acclaimed for the quality of teaching and personal attention given to the graduates who study on it. To discuss the GDL/CPE or arrange a visit, please contact CPE director Barrie Goldstone on [email protected].

Legal Practice Course (full and part time)

We offer a quality LPC which is challenging, yet flexible to fit in with our students' busy lives. Students can choose to attend for two days a week over a year or one day a week/two evenings a week over two years.

In order to provide students with the greatest range of opportunities for practice we offer a wide variety of relevant, market-driven elective subjects including commercial law, corporate law, advanced business law and practice, employment law, intellectual property law, child law, immigration law, family law, housing law and our new ADR and mediation law elective. Teaching is highly interactive and takes place in small groups to maximise tutor contact time with each student.

All text books and course materials are provided at the beginning of the course and are included in the course fees.

A career in law is challenging. We take this very seriously and are determined to help you succeed. To that end, each student is designated a "professional mentor" to provide individual advice and guidance. We offer a number of work placements within solicitor's firms, at court or within not for profit organisations to enhance your CV and give you an insight into the world of work. We run regular workshops on tailored CV writing and interview technique. Our former students are now employed as solicitors in law firms in the City and the high street as well as in government, law centres and not for profit organisations. They frequently return as part of our alumni association to mentor existing students, give talks and advice on how to get a training contract.

We are always willing to help you make choices about your career.

For more information please contact Sarah Cushnahan, Admissions Officer ([email protected])  or Sarah Campling, Director of Programmes ([email protected]).
