LawWorks Annual Pro Bono Awards 2017 winners revealed

Outstanding contributions to pro bono work by firms and individuals across the legal profession were celebrated at the LawWorks Annual Pro Bono Awards 2017 earlier in December.

Award winners were chosen across nine categories, with Michael Napier QC, a former president of the Law Society, taking the ‘outstanding commitment to pro bono’ award for an individual lawyer. The other winners are:

Martin Barnes, chief executive of LawWorks, said: “Congratulations to the winners and all the shortlisted nominees for the valuable work they are doing which is positively impacting individuals, families and communities across England and Wales. The judges were truly inspired by the range and quality of legal pro bono being delivered and the commitment of the legal profession to pro bono.”
