LPC maintenance grants increased at Linklaters and Slaughter and May

updated on 26 February 2018

Magic circle firms Linklaters and Slaughter and May have increased their Legal Practice Course (LPC) maintenance grants for future trainees.

All five magic circle firms cover future trainees’ LPC course fees and also provide maintenance grants. As Legal Cheek reports, Linklaters and Slaughter and May have increased their maintenance grants by £3,000 to £10,000 in total, matching the grants offered by rivals Clifford Chance and Freshfields.

It’s welcome news for struggling students facing both the breathtakingly prohibitive tuition fees charged by for-profit law schools and the imperative to make ends meet while studying.
