Despite the allure of salaries that can reach up to £180,000 for newly qualified (NQ) solicitors at top City law firms like Paul Weiss and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher UK LLP, the demanding nature of the job is pushing generation Z (gen z) and millennial lawyers to seek alternative careers.
CityLawLIVE and NationalLawLIVE, the one-day student conferences for aspiring solicitors have announced that they are jointly extending their deadline to Friday 8 November. Giving applicants an additional week in which to submit will hopefully attract those students who may not have had the time to get their applications in for consideration.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has authorised the first fully AI-driven law firm, Garfield.Law Ltd, to provide regulated legal services in England and Wales. The move is said to be a “landmark moment for legal services in this country”.
