With the Bar Standards Board having to delay BPTC exams until August, concerns have arisen as to whether students will qualify in time to start pupillage in the autumn.

The Pupillage Gateway deadline has been extended until 11:00am on Monday 11 February, due to severe IT problems causing delays for many applicants trying to use the system.

The Pupillage Gateway has opened for browsing on 4 March.

The Bar Council is moving the timetable of the Pupillage Gateway application system so that it will open in January instead of April from now on, starting in January 2017.
