Requirements and qualifications

Personal attributes

We look for individuals who fit in with our values. First-class client service is the key to our success. Candidates will need to be outgoing, articulate, ambitious and able to work under pressure.

Recruitment process

Our trainee recruitment process involves three main stages. We complete an initial screening of all candidates and those shortlisted will be invited to complete the first stage which involves an online aptitude test. The second stage is an assessment centre and the third stage is a final interview.

Whether you are looking for a fast-paced commercial career dealing with blue-chip clients or to provide the highest quality advice to our high-net worth regular individual clients, we can find a home for your skills and experience.

We have a culture of encouragement, innate in every part of our firm. We want to inspire and be inspired. If you have ideas, we are listening. We hope that you will join us on this journey of making our firm as strong and successful as it can be.

Training seats

Our trainees will be based in our Farnborough office and will spend time in three or four of the following departments:

Commercial property

Dispute resolution

Residential property

Private wealth

Our scheme provides the opportunity to gain experience in multiple disciplines. We tailor your training contract and decide your training seats based on business needs, trainee preference and potential availability of roles within the firm on qualification.

We welcome applicants who have attained their LPC qualification or have passed the newer route: both stages of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), this comprises the SQE1 and 2 assessments. Further information may be found on the SRA website. We run an internal process for support staff and paralegal employees seeking to undertake a solicitor apprenticeship prior to taking their SQE assessments; this route is not currently open to external applications.
