The Switch

The Switch was founded 30 years ago in Tower Hamlets, London and is committed to helping children and young people meet their potential. The Switch offers a range of volunteering programmes, providing a vital link between education and work. It has 85 schools engaged, 5,000 student opportunities and 1,800 volunteer opportunities. The Switch works with primary and secondary schools to introduce students to the world of work and offers a variety of programmes, including Aim2Attain which helps students understand their choices for further education and training, mentoring and one-week work experience placements.

The Switch works with employers such as Clyde & Co LLP, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP and Clifford Chance

Participation is organised through schools – so encourage teachers to become involved if your school is not already in a partnership.
