Pinsent Masons LLP is set to enter the Polish legal market with a new Warsaw office scheduled to open in mid‑2026, establishing its presence in Central and Eastern Europe.

The firm’s ninth office in mainland Europe will be led by a six-partner founding team, spanning real estate, corporate/M&A, banking and finance, and construction. The move is said to reflect the firm’s aim to scale its capabilities in Europe and service growing client demand across the region.

Senior partner at Pinsent Masons, Andrew Masraf, said: “Further scaling up our capabilities in Europe in order to meet the evolving needs of our clients remains a strategic objective for us. Poland, as one of Europe’s most resilient and dynamic economies, adds a valuable component to our pan-European offering. It is a key market for a number of our clients, particularly those in Western Europe, and remains an important investment destination in Central and Eastern Europe.”

The Warsaw office will be jointly led by Bartlomiej Kordeczka (previous co-head of real estate and former Warsaw office co-managing partner at Dentons) and Jakub Marcinkowski (previous co-head of the DLA Piper Poland corporate/M&A practice).

Kordeczka commented on the expansion: “The Polish market presents a major opportunity for international firms, with Warsaw becoming increasingly recognised as a legal and commercial hub in the CEE region. Pinsent Masons already has a strong network of European offices and this expansion into Poland provides another dimension for supporting the cross-border needs of its clients.”

Marcinkowski also highlighted Warsaw’s growing importance for English‑law governed transactions, noting the “substantial demand for M&A, banking and real estate services”. Marcinkowski added: “Our founding team brings extensive experience in all of these areas, setting us in excellent stead to integrate with Pinsent Masons multi-national network and deliver against both local and international client needs.”

Pinsent Masons becomes the latest law firm to expand into Poland. Fieldfisher launched in Warsaw and Krakow last year with a 32‑lawyer team, and Addleshaw Goddard entered the market in Warsaw by absorbing an 80‑lawyer team from Linklaters LLP.
