Apprentice solicitor

Key responsibilities

You’ll work alongside experienced case handlers and the head of legal to help deliver clear, high-quality support to families settling a loved one’s estate. Your work will include:

  • supporting probate and estate administration across a wide range of estates – from simple cases to complex, high-value ones;
  • drafting and reviewing legal documents, correspondence and application forms;
  • managing information using our case management software and databases;
  • helping to meet compliance and regulatory obligations, including fraud and anti-money laundering checks;
  • participating in audits and internal training to build your understanding and improve service quality; and
  • building your legal capability across areas like tax, trusts, inheritance and client care.

Training and qualification pathway

We offer full support towards qualification via the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) route:

  • you’ll complete the Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship route, which includes SQE1 and SQE2;
  • you’ll work four days a week in the office, with one day of study leave; and
  • you’ll have fully funded exams and paid time to study.

Please note: We don't fund non-law graduates for the Postgraduate Diploma in Law. You’ll need to have completed this before applying.
