Principle responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for a legal assistant to provide a legal support service within our construction team.
Duties and responsibilities

Assisting with academy conversions, to include:
-
novating and assigning leases
-
commercial contracts
-
building contracts and commercial transfer agreement with the local authority
-
Opening and closing of files and general file management
-
Sorting and indexing of client files and legal documents, including sorting and filing of correspondence
-
Reviewing and summarising detailed documentary evidence, redaction of documentation, putting documents in chronological order and paginating
-
Assisting in preparation for witness interviews
-
Undertaking legal research and disclosure
-
Assisting with routine lease renewal work
-
Preparing routine correspondence
-
Maintaining diary detailing appointments/dates for appeals, receipt of documents, conferences etc

Carrying out basic administration procedures, general filing and photocopying

Seminar support and general business development support
-
Undertaking any other duties as required, commensurate with the level of the post
Technical skills
-
Familiarity with Microsoft office
-
Advanced keyboard skills and the ability to produce own correspondence and documentation
Compliance

You will be expected to be familiar and compliant with the full range of regulatory policies and procedures including: equal opportunity and diversity, data protection and confidentiality/security, anti-bribery and anti-money laundering etc

As a legal assistant, you would be expected to have the following skills and experience:
