Training contract commencing 2022

Calling all LPC graduates - we have one training contract place in our Exeter office to start in March 2022.

The Exeter office:

Open for business since 1984, our Exeter office has grown and diversified to become one of the firm's largest offices, second in size only to our London HQ. Our expertise takes in both public and private sectors, with a particular focus on real estate – both residential and commercial property. We have teams who advise on construction, employment, litigation and dispute resolution, property finance, and corporate advice. We are also well known for our work in wealth management, residential property conveyancing, and agriculture. We are an acknowledged expert in specialist travel insurance law.

Our Exeter office is home to a team of more than 125, led by 21 partners. Our locally-based lawyers have a deep understanding of what matters to clients in the South West. In turn, our clients choose us for our high levels of service and expertise, and also for the value for money we can offer by utilising our regional teams.

Training contract:

We recruit 25 trainees every year, split between March and September intakes and based at our offices in London, Birmingham, Exeter and Manchester. Training is divided into four six-month seats and you can expect to experience a broad range of departments and practice areas over the course of the two-year period. All trainees are teamed with a supervisor. It's their role to guide you through each of your six-month seats and ensure that you are given plenty of challenges and all the support you need.

From the outset, you will be given real responsibility and the opportunity to learn from hands-on experience in a supportive working environment.

We offer trainees the opportunity to spend six months in one of our offices in the Middle East; Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Oman. You'll be given a high level of responsibility and have the opportunity to get involved in some fascinating international work.

Trainees are critical to the success and growth of our firm. Our clients need you to be pragmatic, commercial and know their business. Not only must you have strong legal skills, you'll need a wide range of business skills to achieve excellence.
