International firm O’Melveny has suspended its 2019 vacation scheme and 2021 training contract applications, as it seeks to conclude merger talks with magic circle giant Allen & Overy.
The two firms have been negotiating to merge since autumn, with reports across the legal press saying discussions are now in their final stages.
The ultimate decision on the merger is expected to be revealed in the “coming weeks”, with news on the vacation scheme and training contract application processes to follow.
