Womble Bond Dickinson welcomes new apprentices to Plymouth office

updated on 22 November 2017

Recently merged Womble Bond Dickinson has taken on five new legal apprentices in its Plymouth office. The apprentices will work in the firm’s corporate and commercial, real estate and dispute resolution teams.

Womble Bond Dickinson was one of the first firms to make legal apprenticeships available in 2014. It now has 18 apprentices at the firm, including solicitor, paralegal apprentices and support apprentices. Its scheme was recognised earlier in the year when it won ‘Newcomer – Large Employer’ at the National Apprenticeship Awards.

One of the new cohort, Rebekah Putnam, said: "I've always wanted to pursue a career in the legal sector, mainly because I believe that law is a fundamental part of our society and I love problem solving. The apprenticeship was a perfect choice, learning and acquiring a legal qualification whilst gaining invaluable experience and working for a top transatlantic law firm. I am really excited about my future at Womble Bond Dickinson."
