Ten legal apprentices join Addleshaw Goddard

Addleshaw Goddard has hired 10 new legal apprentices this month.

The 10 school leavers joined the firm’s Transaction Services Team (TST) in Manchester on a starting salary of £12,000 plus benefits. Their base-level workload includes due diligence, e-disclosure and reviewing documents, plus a supporting role in the firm’s transactional, advisory and litigation work.

The apprentices will study for a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, delivered by CILEx Law School. The programme combines training in legal practice with the development of essential workplace skills.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, one of the apprentices, Marcus Lunt, 19, said: "I got four A levels and applied to study an environmental science degree, but by the time I got my results I decided I wanted an apprenticeship. I looked for insurance and accounting roles before eventually finding this one. I’m so chuffed to have got in. I will probably avoid a £60,000 debt."
