updated on 17 May 2016

The University of Roehampton today celebrates the official opening of its law school, featuring a keynote speech from Baroness Helena Kennedy QC.

The law school has been operating since September 2015, where it welcomed over 30 undergraduates. The launch today marks the success of its first year and will be attended by legal professionals, academics and students.

Dr Giles Proctor, head of the law school, said: “I am pleased to welcome Baroness Kennedy and give our students the opportunity to hear from one of the United Kingdom’s most distinguished lawyers. Our students are encouraged to think like a lawyer from day one so it’s invaluable to their careers to be able to hear from successful experts in the legal field.”
