National firm Mills & Reeve has revealed its staff will receive a bonus of at least £966 this year, following positive financial results that saw the firm’s turnover increase to £114.1 million for the year ending 31 May.
The firm will allocate bonuses based on an employee’s length of service. Full-time employees who joined in the past year will receive £966, meanwhile those who have remained at the firm for at least five years will receive £1,111.
Despite the firm’s 2.9% turnover increase, bonus levels have plummeted compared to the past two years when long-term staff received as much as £2,300.
Claire Clarke, Mills & Reeve’s managing partner, said "It's easy to forget the months before lockdown and focus instead on how we meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the pandemic but I am enormously proud of everyone in the firm and what we have achieved throughout the year. Our growth last year has, without doubt, been affected by the coronavirus pandemic impacting our final quarter.”
Mills & Reeve will be attending LawCareersNetLIVE Manchester on 27 November 2020. Apply now to connect with recruiters, trainees and partners from a number of top law firms via https://live.lawcareers.net/.
