Burges Salmon LLP has announced a 5% bonus for all staff following another year of solid financial growth. The firm reported a 9% increase in turnover to £178 million for the financial year ending 30 April 2025. Net profit also surged by 25% to £63 million, but profit per equity partner held steady at £660,000.
The UK law firm saw standout performances across several sectors, including financial services (22%), built environment (18%), and energy and utilities (11%). It also reported double-digit growth in construction, corporate, pensions, planning, real estate and private client work.
Managing partner Roger Bull commented: “This year’s results reflect the strength of our strategic focus and the dedication of our people. Our growth is not only financial but cultural and operational, driven by our commitment to our clients, our markets, and our values.”
Burges Salmon highlighted progress on social mobility, noting that 80% of its trainees and solicitor apprentices come from state school backgrounds. The firm currently has 19 legal apprentices and 24 business services apprentices working towards their qualifications.
