Legal education provider The University of Law (ULaw) has appointed Patrick Johnson as its director of equality, diversity and inclusion as part of efforts to remove existing barriers and create an environment “where everyone, from any background, can succeed”.

The University of Law (ULaw) has appointed Professor Zoe Radnor as its new deputy vice-chancellor to work alongside Professor Andrea Nollent, ULaw’s vice-chancellor and CEO to “develop and implement the university’s strategic plan” with a focus on delivering “high-quality, innovative academic teaching and developing excellence in applied research and thought leadership”.

John Latham has joined The University of Law as its provost and CEO, following previous roles at Laureate Education Inc and Russell Group universities.

The law centre helping victims of the Grenfell Tower fire has had its funding slashed so severely that it is relying on public donations, charitable grants and lawyers choosing to work for free, it has been revealed.

The charity LawCare has urged the solicitors’ profession to change its culture after a junior solicitor who had committed dishonesty offences was allowed to continue practising because her firm had failed to support her when she began showing signs of anxiety and stress.
