Diversity Access Schemes

Helena Kennedy Foundation

Founded by Dr Ann Limb in 1998, the organisation was set up following Baroness Kennedy KC’s Learning Works report, which identified a significant number of adults who lacked formal qualifications. It pioneered the introduction of bursary schemes for adults, which allow those who need financial support a feasible route back into higher education. Helena Kennedy Foundation (HFK) awards are currently available to those in further education and applying to enter university - find out more via the HFK website. In addition, there's also some financial assistance for asylum students, refugees and those with indefinite leave to remain in the country. You can find out more about who the HFK supports via its website
