Personal injury claims advisors/paralegals

We are now seeking to recruit two claims advisors/paralegals, due to rapid expansion. About the role

The successful applicants will work as members of a supportive team and will manage new and existing client claims. The role involves:

  • Initially assessing high volumes of inbound and outbound personal injury enquiries (relating to potential road traffic accident, employers’ liability and public liability claims) over the phone.
    These will have been generated from various marketing sources.
  • Evaluating the legal issues relating to these enquiries
  • Where the enquiries meet our criteria, putting the clients concerned in touch with our specialist panel solicitors.

The successful applicants will ensure that all enquiries are handled in accordance with targets, service level agreements and claims management regulations.

About the successful candidates

The successful candidates will ideally hold a law degree, the postgraduate diploma in legal practice, or an equivalent qualification. They must possess the following background:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the personal injury claims process
  • Proven experience of working in a target-driven and client-focused environment
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word and Excel

The post-holders must also have a commitment to high quality client service and the abilities to:

  • Engage with customers and colleagues
  • Remain calm and objective when dealing with clients
  • Build rapport and show empathy
  • Be self-motivated, confident and proactive
  • Work collaboratively with others
  • Organise and prioritise work
  • Manage time excellently
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Be professional and friendly on the phone
  • Simultaneously talk on the phone and accurately record information on a case management system
  • Solve problems and use their own initiative
