Fee earners (full time)

QLS is a fully SRA approved alternative business structure (ABS) and operates an in house 24/ 7 service from six locations in the UK, employing circa 750 members of staff. We are a fully Lexcel accredited and audited firm. QLS now offers a range of specialist personal injury claims services including road traffic accidents, employer’s liability and public liability.

We are currently looking to expand our current teams within our Stanmore office, which is conveniently located behind the Jubilee line station. We are looking to recruit several paralegal fee earners.

The ideal candidates will be those who are clearly looking to pursue a career in the area of personal injury and this will be demonstrated by them having recently completed the personal injury elective on the LPC course or those who have recent personal injury claims handling experience. Applicants without previous PI experience or those who have not recently completed the PI elective will not be considered

The right candidates should be organised, proactive, highly motivated and be good team players.

Key responsibilities in fee earning capacity

  • Providing appropriate tailored advice and service to clients in accordance with the firm’s guide to best practice.
  • Review of incoming enquiries applying the firm’s criteria for acceptance/rejection.
  • Liaising with your line manager in respect of any claim falling outside of ‘normal’ risk profiles to agree appropriate action plans
  • Assisting your line manager in more complex/higher value claims where required.
  • Ensuring that review of all key dates in respect of own caseloads are completed in a timely manner, updating your Line Manager on any instances of scheduled reviews not being met or key dates missed.
  • Notifying your line manager in the event you consider that you have been allocated a workload or individual cases outside of your capacity and capability.
  • Ensure that file reviews are conducted in line with documented procedures.
  • Ensure that you follow the firm’s robust systems relating to the security and confidentiality of all data, both electronic and hard copy, held by the practice.
  • Seek continuous improvement by providing your Line Manager with feedback on case reviews or results arising from file reviews in a format to be agreed with your Line Manager.

Salary:

£18,000 - £22,000 depending upon experience
