To work with colleagues to help clients succeed in realising their business or personal objectives, through the efficient delivery of appropriate legal assistance.
At least 3-6 months’ legal experience in a similar position and or preferably LPC/ILEX qualified.
Organised and able to work top deadlines with good attention to detail.
Ability to conduct effective case and transaction management.
Communicate concisely both verbally and in writing with colleagues and clients.
Good client care skills.
Familiarity with and confidence in the use of office IT applications; good typing skills.
Demonstrate commercial awareness of, and interest in, clients and their sectors
Legal research - ability to apply relevant legal issues applicable to a case
Filing - both electronic and paper.
Diary management - liaising with clients/intermediaries to arrange meetings/appointments.
Case management, for example, preparing document bundles, and ensuring that colleagues are aware of deadlines etc.
Liaising with clients where required.
To become familiar with, and to operate, the procedures and systems required of fee earners for billing, case management, , archiving & file closure and to operate these systems appropriately.
To take every reasonable opportunity to further legal and skills training.
To contribute where appropriate as part of a department or sector work teams in the development of marketing (including know how, articles and marketing material), cross-selling, quality and operational issues and to introduce clients to the firm wherever possible.
