Through the Thrings Academy we’re seeking a talented graduate who already has their LPC/GDL, or is in progress to finish by March 2019 to join us as a trainee solicitor. Ideally you will have a 2.1 but we’re open to applications from those with a 2.2 if you have paralegal experience. You will join us as a trainee, but you’ll be more than just that: you’re given the foundations for a great career path in a firm that supports and develops you.
Working with high calibre clients from day one, you’ll hit the ground running. With clients ranging from small companies, to household names, we operate at a local and national level. We’re more than just lawyers: we equip all our trainees to develop their futures, with a record for recognising talent and developing it to become our future leaders. When you are a Thrings trainee you are more than just a number: you’re part of Thrings’ future.
You will be able to demonstrate commercial awareness, have a passion for a career in law, be motivated by success and keen to develop and learn through our trainee academy. You’ll need enthusiasm and a real passion to become the trusted legal partner to the clients we serve, you’ll need to show us that you’re keen to develop great working relationships with our clients and colleagues as that’s how we learn and grow. If you’re a team player who is willing to get stuck in then you’ll fit in well at Thrings, our trainees get involved in more than just learning how to become a successful lawyer, they help run our social calendar, play an active part in the communities we have offices in, and really make a difference.
Being a Thrings trainee you will have a structured two year training contract split across four six month seats. You’ll get to experience at least three different practice areas, with a mix of contentious and non contentious work. We’re keen to give you the exposure to the different dynamics we have in our offices, so you can expect to get the opportunity to work in a number of our locations with different colleagues and diverse work types.
If you’re reading this and thinking you fit the bill, we’re keen for you to apply. Applications close on 17th September 2018 as we’ve got a number of opportunities for spaces on our March 2019 intake and beyond. We’ll be running assessment centres in our Swindon office in November, ready for you to join in March; so you’ll need to have completed your LPC before March 2019. To apply please go to our applicant portal and upload a copy of your CV and covering letter outlining why we should pick you.
