Immigration paralegal with a view to a training contract

Latitude Law is a niche immigration practice in central Manchester offering privately-paid legal advice and assistance. Our firm is expanding and we seek a dynamic and capable paralegal to assist experienced staff with a varied caseload of immigration, nationality and public law. The role offers a genuine opportunity to develop case working skills, and it is intended that the successful applicant will work towards managing their own caseload of clients. Your focus will be applications under the Points Based System, particularly Tiers 1 and 2. There is a route to qualification through a training contract, dependent on ability demonstrated in the paralegal position.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • LPC/BVC/BPTC qualification
  • Completion of an immigration law elective, or relevant experience of case working
  • Experience of working as an effective member of a team
  • A genuine interest in immigration law issues

This is a full-time position, initially under a six-month fixed term contract. The starting salary is £14,000.

To apply, please submit a CV and covering email to [email protected] addressed for the attention of Gary McIndoe, Solicitor.
