Criminal paralegal

We are looking to recruit a Criminal paralegal to join our busy and growing criminal litigation group at our Leicester and London office. You will experience a broad based criminal caseload with support and supervision from other members of the practice. Your main role will be to prepare cases in the Crown Court department and assist other Fee Earners in preparing Magistrates’ Court cases and taking instructions from clients at the office and at prison. The firm has invested in a new case management system together with new tablets for each Fee Earner as part of its plans to expand into other areas of practices.    

Ideally, you would have completed your Legal Practice Course and your Police Station Accreditation, or seeking to obtain the accreditation soon. Those who are accredited will be expected to participate with the out of hours police station rota for which you would receive excellent overtime rates.

As well as receiving excellent training as a Criminal paralegal, there are opportunities for the right candidate who would wish to progress onto a training contract.

A clean driving licence is essential.
