Ardian, the premium independent private investment company, holds three values at its core: excellence, loyalty and entrepreneurship.
Managed by the team that founded the company, our employees are the largest shareholder, backed by institutional shareholders with US$50 billion of assets managed or advised. Whilst distinctly European we maintain a global outlook with 10 offices globally and are committed to giving portfolio companies access to our global network, in order to support their international development. Since its creation, we have focused on private equity investment and asset management for institutional investors offering a broad range of asset classes: fund of funds, including primary, early secondary and secondary; private debt, direct funds including expansion, mid cap buyout, Ardian croissance, co-investment and infrastructure. During our first year of independence, the company has been extraordinarily active, completing three major fundraisings and a broad range of transactions.
We are now seeking a lawyer (up to two years PQE) to join our in house legal team based in Mayfair, London. Key responsibilities include: providing general UK corporate and company secretarial advice, providing legal support on the creation, structuring and management of funds (including Lux SICARs and limited partnerships), participating in the preparation and drafting of relevant fund documentation, participating in negotiations with external investors, collaborate with and provide legal support to other departments, monitoring regulatory developments.
The successful candidate will be a lawyer qualified in England & Wales (or have a strong UK legal education), will have general UK corporate and company law experience and ideally exposure to private equity/venture capital and or funds work. Experience will have been gained either in-house or in private practice and the candidate will possess a strong academic record and will be able to demonstrate strong drafting and communication skills as well as excellent attention to detail.
