Trainee solicitors (claimant personal injury)

CFG Law is one of the UK’s leading personal injury practices and is recommended by the Legal 500. Based in newly refurbished offices at Cheadle Royal Business Park in South Manchester, we are currently recruiting for a number of paralegals who will then go on to start training contracts in 2016.  

Candidates will initially join our new client team where you will deal with incoming calls from prospective clients, gathering information from them and carrying out research as required. There are many opportunities to progress within our practice and we anticipate those who are appointed and show they have good legal knowledge; client care skills, commitment and ability would have the opportunity to gain a training contract commencing in 2016.    

We are looking for exceptional candidates who should have completed the LPC and have gained / or expect to gain either a commendation or distinction and preferably have chosen the PI elective.  

Important qualities and skills are:

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner 
  • Good organisational and time management skills  
  • Understanding, listening and empathy
  • Being proactive and putting our clients first

Experience of working in a legal and / or customer based environment would be helpful. 

The ideal candidate in addition should embrace the values that are important to our practice and for our clients. You should be able to show a real enthusiasm for personal injury law, thrive in a team environment and ensure you do the very best for clients. 

A driving licence and car are important as occasional home visits to clients may be required.  

Please note there will be a requirement after a few months of experience to assist in providing cover for an on call, out of hours rota which covers evenings and weekends, there are, however, additional payments for providing this cover.

Salary:

£17,000 rising to £18,000 in 2016
