We are a niche firm of solicitors specialising in high-end family law. Our partners, Claire Hamilton-Russell and Daisy Hutchinson, have over 40 years of combined experience, having previously worked at leading London firms. Our aim is to assist clients by being proactive, empathetic, professional and non-judgmental. We have a strong reputation as a leading family law firm, working with top barristers and other professionals.
We specialise in acting for high net-worth individuals, many of whom are based in London. Cases often involve valuable properties, companies, pensions, complex trust assets and cross-jurisdiction assets. We offer a bespoke personalised service, taking the time to listen to our clients’ needs and requirements, and then advising as to how best those needs can be met.
We are looking for an LPC graduate to start a training contract with our firm. Ideally you will have had experience as a paralegal for at least six months, preferably with some family experience.
Our trainee will be based in our Newbury office for up to 12 months of their training. We have a link to a niche private client firm in Oxfordshire and our most recent trainee undertook seats in family law, private client (wills and probate) and property, before qualifying in April 2022.
Ideally you should be available to start work by September 2022 although we would be happy to accommodate an earlier start date.
Job description
Your initial responsibilities would include preparation of legal documents as required, and creating and helping co-ordinate bundles and assisting fee earners with fee earning tasks as required. You will be liaising with clients in a timely, professional and courteous manner and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
As a trainee solicitor you will also attend court hearings, conferences with counsel, and other meetings. You will assist with court preparation and be involved in the day-to-day running of a case. You will work directly with the partners and learn from their experience. You will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships with clients and other professionals.
We offer a competitive salary depending on experience plus other benefits including pension, bonus and additional days' holiday at Christmas. The salary range for trainee solicitors is £32,000 - £38,000 per annum.
