We are currently accepting applications for a training contract commencing end of October 2018.
We welcome applications from candidates with a minimum of a 2:1 degree (preferably in law although non-law degrees will also be considered). Unfortunately, we do not offer sponsorship for the Legal Practice Course and you must have completed this course prior to commencing your training contract with us.
You should have enthusiasm, initiative and strong interpersonal skills. You must also be able to work effectively in a team and have good commercial awareness.
This is a company/commercial route training contract. This means that you will be seated in the company/commercial department on a day to day basis throughout your training with us. You will have immediate exposure to commercial property, general commercial and corporate work including mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance. Accordingly, you will need to a have a strong interest and enthusiasm in these areas of law. We will guide you in building a caseload in these areas to ensure you qualify as a specialist company/commercial solicitor.
You will also gain experience in other departments as and when required and in particular will train in contentious work such as family law, civil litigation and/or employment law.
We value our trainee solicitors as assets of the firm and will provide high quality training and support throughout. You will be supervised by a partner and as your training progresses you will be given more responsibility and client contact. You will also be required to attend firm events and other networking events where appropriate. Must be able to work in any branch offices of the firm within Kent.
