At Broadfield, we believe in nurturing the next generation of legal professionals. Our training contracts offer early responsibility, comprehensive development, and significant client exposure, designed to equip trainees with the skills and experience needed for a successful legal career. Trainees are valued members of their teams, taking on meaningful work from the outset and developing strong client relationships. The firm is committed to delivering a training experience that fosters both professional and personal growth, while maintaining the highest standards of service to clients.

For individuals that are yet to complete their Solicitors Qualifying Exams, the firm will sponsor the future trainee to complete a yearlong preparation course, the LLM Legal Practice (SQE1 and 2) with The University of Law. After a comprehensive induction, Broadfield trainees experience training from both department specific structured programmes and desk-side mentoring from supervisors. Trainees work with a variety of team members to explore different practice areas and gain a broad exposure to high-quality work.

Strong academics at undergraduate and A Level or equivalent, ideally a 2.1, however we consider all mitigating circumstances and don't score applicants based on academic attainment.
Our recruitment process is made up of an online application form including essay style questions focusing on your motivation for a career in law and working at Broadfield. We understand that candidates will use AI tools to help research, structure or proofread their application, but applications that rely too heavily on AI won't score well, as our assessment is based on genuine personal experiences and authentic reflections. If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to a pre-recorded video interview for us to get to know you better. The final stage of the recruitment process is an in person assessment centre held at the end of June at the office you applied to.
