Law Jobs

Blogger - LawCareers.Net

LawCareers.Net is looking for bloggers to join our existing blog community. We want to hear from people who are:

  • in their first or second year studying for a law degree or;
  • a current non-law student looking to get a career in the legal profession;
  • a law/non-law student pursuing a career at the Bar; or
  • someone who’s pursuing an alternative career or route in the legal profession (eg, solicitor apprenticeship or in-house position).

As a blogger, you should be able to talk engagingly and honestly about the trials and tribulations associated with pursing a career in law, as well as relevant legal and commercial issues that you think your fellow aspiring lawyers should be aware of. Above all, your role is to offer information, guidance and insight into the sometimes-baffling process of becoming a lawyer.

We’re looking for a maximum of two contributions per month, so it's not a massive commitment – we’re after quality, not quantity. Bloggers are paid £37.50 per post.

If you think it's your voice that should be entertaining and informing a generation of future lawyers, why not show us what you can do? Please compose:

  • a sample blog post on any topic that bears relation to the law or legal studies; and
  • a cover letter briefly explaining, in no more than a side of A4, why you’d make an interesting LCN blogger.

In 2024, LawCareers.Net has identified some key topics that we’re prioritising in terms of content, which include:

  • AI/legal tech;
  • diversity and inclusion;
  • ESG/environment;
  • legal applications; and
  • commercial awareness.

We’d therefore love to receive blog posts that focus on these topics or hear from people keen to cover these issues.

Please also state your degree course, year and university. Send the sample blog post and cover letter to us at [email protected] by Friday 30 August.
