Training contract

Fraser Brown's training contracts commence in September. We will take one trainee solicitor in 2016, 2017 and 2018. We offer excellent training and our commitment to our trainees is reflected in the fact that once qualified we have an excellent retention record.

As we are a general practice covering a wide area of law, we are able to offer training contracts in a variety of seats. We try to be as flexible as possible with these training seats, bearing in mind the needs of the business and the preferences of the trainees. All trainees are able to undertake contentious and non-contentious training within the firm with exposure to clients from an early stage enabling them to build client care skills and confidence as well as technical knowledge.

Applicants should have a minimum 2.1 degree or expected 2.1 degree. We are seeking applicants who have not only a good solid knowledge of the law but can also demonstrate their ability in its application. We want someone who has vision that has looked beyond the text books and has a good insight into the business world and how this correlates with the legal environment.

Applications for training contracts are now being accepted as follows:

To commence in September 2016 - Applications to be received by 30 April 2016. Those to be invited for an interview will be notified during May 2016 with initial interviews taking place during July 2016.

To commence in September 2017 and September 2018 - Applications to be received by 31 September 2016. Those to be invited for an interview will be notified during October 2016 with initial interviews taking place during November 2016.
