Firm description and career prospects
Caytons Law is a leading insurance litigation practice with offices in the City of London and Dublin. The majority of our cases involve representing professionals and their professional indemnity insurers. We have acted in disputes involving claims against most professionals, including solicitors, architects, engineers and surveyors. We also have expertise in advising our insurer clients in relation to disputes over policy coverage and advising professionals in respect of collateral warranties and appointment documents. This is something that we specialise in. Almost all of the work is centred in the UK and Ireland.
We have acted in many large multi-party disputes and work in the High Court, County Court, Arbitrations and Adjudications. We encourage alternative dispute resolution and frequently use mediation as a venue to settle a dispute.
We work for several Lloyd’s Syndicates and UK insurance companies.
In addition to providing legal services, we provide claims management services. We manage claims outsourced by insurers for various professions and provide advice to them in relation to claims handling.
We are a small but growing practice, which is ideal for any young ambitious trainee who wants responsibility.
