Trainee solicitor

The County Council’s law and governance division has four fixed term vacancies for trainee solicitors; the first two positions to start in September 2019, the third in March 2020 and the final post to start in the September 2020.

Under the supervision of staff in legal services, you’ll undertake a wide range of legal work, contributing to the delivery of service level agreements to client, developing your skills and experience as a solicitor in a busy and professional environment.

We train our employees to the highest standards and we expect high standards in return. You will need to be quick thinking, practical, confident and keen to develop.

Key Requirements

Applications are invited from people who have an upper 2nd class honours degree or a distinction for their Legal Practice Course, and who will have successfully completed the Legal Practice Course prior to taking up the appointment. 

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment day on the 26th January 2019, you will also find out more about the roles on offer.
