Job Overview:
This role is designed to be an entrance position into TMLEP, with strong career progression opportunities available for individuals who excel, including a company sponsored SQE pathway.
As a healthcare litigations analyst, you will be at the centre of providing TMLEP’s clinical evidence services. You will be principally managing your own caseload of clinical investigations, with cases varying in complexity; you may be handling a clinical negligence investigation into a paediatric neurosurgical complication that occurred mid-surgery which resulted in a life-changing outcome, or a simple case concerning a missed fracture on a CT scan.
Job Requirements:
All applicants must demonstrate the following skills:
- You must have the ability to grasp basic legal concepts, therefore a minimum 2.1 law degree (or relevant experience) is essential.
- You will be continually writing emails and speaking to professionals (particularly doctors and lawyers) over the telephone, therefore you will need to have a professional manner alongside excellent writing and communication skills.
- You will be responsible for autonomously managing a high volume of clinical investigations, ensuring TMLEP’s services are delivered effectively at all times; it is, therefore, essential you are able to effectively manage your time and handle multiple tasks in a confident, efficient and timely manner.
- You will be reviewing large amounts of information, usually at speed, therefore you must have an eye for detail so you can detect issues at a glance.
- You will be working independently (once you are fully trained), therefore you must be very self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- TMLEP routinely handle urgent and time-sensitive matters, therefore you must be able to work to tight deadlines and in stressful situations, occasionally outside typical office hours.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK (without requiring a visa or sponsorship).
- Experience in a clinical negligence law firm is desired, although not mandatory.
