Legal apprenticeship pilot scheme launched by Bond Dickinson

updated on 10 June 2014

Bond Dickinson confirmed last week that it will trial a legal apprenticeship scheme for school leavers in its Plymouth office.

The scheme will initially recruit three apprentices, who will follow the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services with CILEx Law School. If the initiative is successful, it may be rolled out to further offices across the country in 2015. The announcement follows news from Withers and Hill Dickinson last month that they will be recruiting school leavers as apprentices from September 2014.

Samantha Lee, recruitment manager at Bond Dickinson, commented: "We see the Advanced Apprenticeship as a great way of combining the advantages of CILEx training alongside the development of workplace skills. The fact that this training route attracts public funding is an added incentive, as it will allow us to recruit and develop excellent staff while reducing overheads. We intend to select first-rate A-level candidates to support our onshore team."
