Deloitte granted ABS as it expands legal services

Deloitte is the last of the Big Four accountancy firms to be granted an alternative business structure (ABS) licence, allowing it to offer reserved legal activities.
As reported in Legal Futures, the firm was granted its licence at the end of May. The firm will now offer managed services (which include automated document review), consulting services, and an extension of its existing services as they relate to employment, immigration and tax law.
Deloitte Legal employs more than 2,000 people in 75 countries around the world. The ABS will be headed by barrister Anbreen Khan along with a non-lawyer tax partner, Ian Stone, as head of finance and administration.
