University of Law to teach GDL and LPC on Exeter campus

updated on 01 May 2015

The University of Exeter is to once again provide the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) after agreeing to collaborate with the The University of Law.

The University of Exeter scrapped its postgraduate law programmes in 2006, but from September 2015 both the GDL and LPC will be taught by The University of Law from Exeter’s Streatham campus.

Professor James Devenney, head of University of Exeter Law School, said: "We are delighted to host ULaw within our law school at Exeter. Students will benefit from The University of Law’s considerable expertise in delivering the GDL and LPC while enjoying the excellent student experience here on campus. This unique collaboration very much complements our innovative new LLB curriculum. We hope that the collaboration will attract new students to Exeter, while providing our own graduates with the opportunity to further improve their employability by acquiring the next stage of legal training in Exeter."

Meanwhile in other University of Law-related news, The University of Law is now teaching the LPC at its Leeds and Manchester centres.
