The University of Law (ULaw) has partnered with top law firms and businesses across the country to help aspiring lawyers and business professionals gain work experience via an Instagram competition.
Students hoping to secure a placement can apply through Instagram, explaining what inspires them to achieve their career goals.
Winning entrants will be able to select the location of their placement, with opportunities available at companies in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Reading.
In Reading, Nottingham and Birmingham, full-service law firm Gateley Legal will be offering work experience placements while in London, professional services recruitment consultants Morgan McKinley is offering invaluable business experience. Other law firms involved include Thrings in Bristol, Fletcher’s Solicitors in Manchester and Shoosmiths in Leeds.
To take part in the first round of the competition, students must share an Instagram post, photo or video with a caption about who inspires their career goals using the hashtag #Uinspire and mentioning the desired location. This round of the competition closes on Friday 29 November.
The final round of the competition consists of telephone interviews with five finalists per location, chosen by ULaw’s domestic student recruitment team, and the winner will be announced on Friday 13 December.
