Legal education provider The College of Legal Practice has partnered with leading Midlands law firm Wright Hassall LLP to enable all employees from all parts of the firm to train and qualify as solicitors via the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE).

The College of Legal Practice will deliver its two-year programme through supported and flexible learning – the courses have been designed to suit those already working in the legal profession. The firm is due to put two staff members on the programme.

The firm’s HR Director Lindsay Barnett said: “The company has always believed in developing its own talent and this extends that to anyone who works with Wright Hassall and has a degree – whether they originally wanted to work as a solicitor or had other ambitions.

“We were extremely impressed by the way that The College of Legal Practice has brought flexibility and accessibility into the learning design for their SQE Prep Courses.

“The value and quality of their proposition stands out as does their collaborative approach. Both organisations believe in the individual and personalisation of learning to genuinely support professional development.”

Talking about the partnership, Dr Giles Proctor, CEO of The College of Legal Practice said: “I’m delighted that we are partnering with Wright Hassall to provide SQE preparation courses to their trainees.

“They are clearly a firm with strong social values and commitment to their employees’ learning and development.

“We are collaborating closely to ensure that the trainees are fully supported throughout their SQE journeys and given every opportunity to succeed.”
