updated on 14 July 2021
Aspiring lawyers can now register as Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) candidates after the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) opened candidate registration on 6 July 2021.
There are several pre-booking steps that candidates must fulfil, including completing a diversity survey, disclosing any exemptions they may have and requesting reasonable adjustments for the assessments.
For candidates who are requesting reasonable adjustments and are aiming to sit SQE1 in November, the SRA has recommended registering and making a request as early as possible.
The first sitting of SQE1 will take place in November and bookings are due to open in July. Only candidates who have registered and completed the pre-booking steps will be eligible to book an assessment.
