London chancery set 11 Stone Buildings to dissolve

updated on 29 September 2015

Top London chambers 11 Stone Buildings (11SB) has announced that it is to dissolve.

The set will cease to exist as of 30 October 2015. As reported by The Lawyer and Legal Business, 11SB’s barristers voted to dissolve because they felt their practices would be best served by moving to more specialised chambers.

At the time of the announcement, 11SB was home to 40 barristers, including four Queen’s Counsels and two pupils. All will be in the process of finding (or will already have gained tenancy at) new chambers.

Over its 40-year history, 11SB was a hub for a wide range of commercial chancery work, including banking, insolvency, fraud, litigation, professional negligence and real estate.
