Stock market-listed legal businesses enjoyed a highly successful 2019, analysis by Legal Futures reveals.
Commercial firm Gateley, the first law firm in the UK to list on the FTSE AIM All-Share Index, has recorded its strongest year since listing in 2015 at 95p a share. The firm ended the year with a share price of 198p.
Regional firm Knights Solicitors has experienced a meteoric increase in share value since it went live in 2018 at 145p a share – the firm finished 2019 at 334p.
Meanwhile multinational firm DWF, the UK’s largest listed firm, has been steady since it went live in March 2019, with shares closing just 1p up on its 122p opening price, having reached a high of 129p earlier in the year.
