The first LCN Podcast episode of the new year covers:
With Nikesh Tiwari and Sarah Nadia from the University of Bristol Law Club, this month’s episode is all about mooting.
Mooting is an extremely valuable activity to get involved in; not only can it boost your confidence and accelerate your legal career, but it can also nurture your advocacy skills.
According to Nikesh, mooting can help you in your legal career because you develop soft skills and it encourages you to leave your comfort zone.
In the episode Sarah explains how she was encouraged by her seniors to participate in mooting competitions at university. Despite being initially frightened initially, she persevered and is now a mooting expert and competition winner.
Mooting also sharpens your drafting skills and teaches you to present your oral arguments eloquently.
