KCL announces massive law scholarship programme

updated on 23 November 2012

Kings College London (KCL) has launched a scholarship programme worth £2 million each year for law students who display academic excellence, leadership potential and ambition.

As reported in Lawyer2B, the new scholarships are part of a £20 million gift by Hong Kong-based philanthropist Dickson Poon to KCL's law school. A maximum of 75 scholarships will be available for undergraduate students, enrolling to start in September 2013, and another five for those enrolling on the law PhD course.

The figures are sizeable; of the 75 undergrad awards, 25 are worth full fees (whether home or EU) for all years of study, while the remaining 50 are worth £18,000 over three years. The five PhD awards are for £90,000 each, over three years.
