Hill Dickinson officially reserves two training contracts per intake for its paralegals

updated on 07 July 2016

National law firm Hill Dickinson has formally announced that some of its training contract places will be reserved for internal candidates from among the firm’s existing paralegals.

The firm is ring fencing two out of 12 training contracts commencing in 2018 for paralegals on its ‘Growing Talent’ scheme. As Legal Cheek reports, Hill Dickinson has previously reserved two training contracts each in 2016 and 2017 for paralegals, but the practice has now been made official. Furthermore, internal applicants will not have to meet the firm’s usual requirements for a 2:1 and AAB grades at A level.

Speaking to Lawyer2B, Sarah Pickerill, head of talent and development at Hill Dickinson, said: “Developing our people is a top priority for us. Our Growing Talent programme not only gives our top paralegals general development opportunities, it also provides them with an alternative route to securing a training contract.”
