Ground breaking e-disclosure course to be taught to Queen Mary LLM students

LLM students at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) are to take a course in e-disclosure, the first of its kind in the United Kingdom.

A relatively new area of law, e-disclosure is now a vitally important area of expertise for lawyers dealing with the data privacy and security issues that are part and parcel of 21^st century business. E-disclosure is therefore the newest 11-week module to be added to QMUL’s LLM programme. The QMUL students will be taught by leading lawyers in this area and will also undergo practical training using the e-disclosure software Relativity.

Ian Walden, professor of information and communications law at QMUL’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies, commented: “E-disclosure is now firmly at the heart of modern legal practice. It is a worldwide application of electronically stored information that will present new challenges for lawyers. For students to receive training by the leading experts in this field and get hands-on training with Relativity, is a huge opportunity.”
